With changes in traditional bank lending for Property Development and Bridging, alternative lenders, such as Sancus, have had the opportunity to increase their market share of Property lending.
The COVID-19 crisis made everybody reflect on how they live and work, which had a significant impact on demand for residential property as more people were working from home. This, combined with a U.K. housing market where supply is significantly short of demand, has led to a boom in residential development.
We believe that exposure to secured lending represents an alternative to more traditional asset classes and an opportunity to earn potentially attractive risk-adjusted returns.

Josh Eyre
Director, Business Development
With 20 years’ experience Josh has worked across a breadth of roles spanning the industry, including mortgages and banking for a combination of retail, intermediary and family office clients.
Widely experienced in credit, as well as banking and investments, Josh holds CeMAP & Level 6 PCIAM through the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.
He joined Amberton in 2021 and is responsible for developing new opportunities relating to the Loan Note and other routes of investment.

Grant Stenhouse
Portfolio Administrator
With more than 30 years’ experience of Treasury and Investments, Grant was a Senior Treasury Manager at two banks in Jersey before working at Ashburton Investments for 10 years, in the Middle Office and then on the Dealing Desk.
He then worked for Somerston from 2018, with responsibility for the settlements and administration of the Somerston Multi Asset Fund and client portfolios, before joining Amberton in 2021.
Grant holds the ACI Diploma and ACI Dealing Certificate, and is also a Fellow of the Financial Markets Association.
